(670 The Score) The White Sox have signed Tennesee left-hander Garrett Crochet, whom they selected at No. 11 overall in the MLB amateur draft earlier in June.

Crochet signed for a $4.5475-million bonus, which was the recommended slot value for the No. 11 pick.

"I’m thrilled to officially be a member of the White Sox organization," Crochet said in a statement. "It has always been my dream to play at the highest level, and now I’m one step closer to achieving that dream. I want to thank my family, friends, coaches and teammates who have helped throughout my baseball career. I can’t wait to get started."

Crochet had a 4.64 ERA for the Volunteers across three collegiate seasons. He threw just 3 1/3 innings as a junior before the season was halted because of the coronavirus pandemic. He had a 4.02 ERA in 65 innings across 18 appearances, including six starts, in 2019.
