(670 The Score) The White Sox have placed right-hander Reynaldo Lopez on the 10-day injured list Monday, a day after he experienced right shoulder tightness in a poor start.

Lopez exited from the White Sox's 14-2 loss to the Twins on Sunday having allowed four earned runs and recorded just two outs. It was a continuation of his struggles in 2019, when he posted a 5.38 ERA in 33 starts.

"Hopefully this is not something serious," Lopez said after the game Sunday.

Veteran left-hander Gio Gonzalez is a leading candidate to replace Lopez in the rotation.

In corresponding moves, Chicago recalled right-hander Ian Hamilton from the team's Schaumburg training facility, purchased the contract of infielder Ryan Goins and designated infielder Cheslor Cuthbert for assignment. The White Sox signed Goins last Thursday after he had previously been released by the Athletics.

In a more positive development, the White Sox didn't place outfielder Eloy Jimenez on the injured list in releasing their roster moves Monday afternoon. Jimenez collided hard with the wall Sunday and left the game with light-headedness.

The White Sox's 40-man roster is currently full after the moves.

Chicago plays at Cleveland on Monday evening.
