Sox Add Jeanmar Gomez, DFA Bruce Rondon

(670 The Score) The White Sox have purchased the contract of right-hander Jeanmar Gomez from Triple-A Charlotte and designated righty reliever Bruce Rondon for assignment, they announced Wednesday.

The 30-year-old Gomez is 5-0 with a 2.03 ERA in 30 relief appearances at Triple-A this season. The White Sox signed him as a free agent in late January. He has a career 4.39 ERA across parts of eight big league seasons.

Rondon, 27, had an 8.49 ERA in 35 appearancs for the White Sox.
