White Sox Acquire Manny Bañuelos From Dodgers

Bañuelos had a 3.73 ERA at Triple-A last season.

(670 The Score) The White Sox on Thursday acquired left-hander Manny Bañuelos from the Dodgers in exchange for minor league infielder Justin Yurchak.

Bañuelos, 27, spent the entire 2018 at Triple-A Oklahoma, going 9-7 with a 3.73 ERA in 31 games, including 18 starts. He struck out 127 batters in 108 2/3 innings. 

Bañuelos has a career 3.56 ERA in over 10 minor league seasons, which have been spent in the Yankees, Braves, Angels and Dodgers organizations. He was originally signed by the Yankees as a free agent in March 2008.

The 22-year-old Yurchak hit .256 with one homer, 36 RBIs and 44 runs in 95 games at Class-A Kannapolis last season. The White Sox selected him in the 12th round of the 2017 amateur draft.

The White Sox's 40-man roster now sits at 35 players.
