(670 The Score) Bears outside linebacker Leonard Floyd has yet to record a sack in the first seven games of the season, leading to questions about his future with the team and worry in the present for a defense that hasn't created a consistent pass rush lately.

So what's gone wrong for the 26-year-old Floyd? Former Bears linebacker and current analyst Lance Briggs weighed in on the Laurence Holmes Show.

"The one thing that sticks out in my mind is the coaching staff, when they drafted him, they said, 'His athleticism jumps out at you,'" Briggs said. "Athleticism is great. I love it. But at the end of the day, you need a football player.

"He was picked to be dominant."
