(670 The Score) As the White Sox enter a more competitive phase of their rebuild, their television broadcast will continue to keep its chemistry and entertaining form.

Steve Stone has signed a contract to remain the White Sox television color analyst, he announced Monday afternoon. He'll continue alongside play-by-play man Jason Benetti, with whom he's formed a strong chemistry.

"The Sox signed a minor free agent just now," Stone tweeted. "He won’t help the pennant chase and he can’t hit or even pitch anymore. It makes me very happy to announce that Jason has a partner for multiple years and our twitter war can continue unabated. I’m aboard for the great years ahead."

Stone has served as the White Sox's television color analyst since 2009.

Coming off a 72-win campaign, the White Sox have had an active offseason. They've signed left-hander Dallas Keuchel, left-hander Gio Gonzalez, catcher Yasmani Grandal and also agreed to a deal with designated hitter Edwin Encarnacio. First baseman Jose Abreu and star outfield prospect Luis Robert also signed contract extensions.
