(670 The Score) Bears restricted free-agent receiver Cameron Meredith has signed an offer sheet with the Saints for two years and $9.6 million, plus incentives, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported. The Bears have the option to match the offer from New Orleans and retain Meredith under the same terms.

Meredith missed all of last season with a torn ACL that he suffered in August. That came after a productive 2016 in which he posted 66 receptions for 888 yards and four touchdowns. The Bears placed an original-round tender on Meredith, a restricted free agent this offseason.

Meredith had taken free agency tours with the Saints, Colts and Ravens this offseason before landing the right offer sheet in New Orleans. The Bears have five days to match the Saints' offer.

The Bears have been down a road similar this offseason, matching an offer from the Packers on cornerback Kyle Fuller, who was tendered the transition tag in March. In doing so, the Bears let their rivals set the price on a prized free agent.
