(670 The Score) Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant has used the freedom provided by MLB Players' Weekend to raise some money for a good cause.

Bryant will wear custom cleats that raise awareness and funds for Wings for Life, a charitable foundation focused on spinal cord research and finding a cure for such injuries. Bryant has supported the foundation for his entire MLB career and has a personal connection to it, as his close friend Cory Hahn was paralyzed while sliding into second base while playing for Arizona State in 2011.

Bryant will wear three different pairs of cleats as the Cubs host the Nationals Friday, Saturday and Sunday. He will also use specially designed bats. The cleats and bats will be auctioned off at the Wings for Life Golf Classic on Sept. 23.

Chicago artists Afrokilla, Ello and Blake Jones designed the cleats and bats.
