Cubs' Javier Baez To Lead Off For NL In All-Star Game

White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu will bat eighth for the American League.

(670 The Score) Cubs second baseman Javier Baez will be in the spotlight amid All-Star festivities.

Baez has been tabbed to lead off for the National League in the game in Washington D.C. on Tuesday night. That will come after he partakes in the Home Run Derby on Monday evening.

This marks Baez's first All-Star apperance. He's hitting .292 with 19 homers, 72 RBIs, 18 stolen bases and an .892 OPS.

Cubs catcher Willson Contreras will bat ninth. It's also his first All-Star berth.
