(670 The Score) Seven of the nine managers in the Cubs' farm system will return to lead their same teams in 2020, the club announced Tuesday.

Headlining that will by Marty Pevey, who's back for a 12th season with the Cubs and eighth as the manager of Triple-A Iowa. In 2019, he led the Iowa Cubs to their first playoff appearance since 2008.

Others returning to their same positions are Steve Lerud at Class-A Myrtle Beach, Buddy Bailey as Class-A South Bend, Lance Rymel at Class-A Eugene, Carmelo Martinez with the Rookie League Cubs Blue squad, Carlos Ramirez with the Dominican Summer League Cubs Blue team and Leo Perez with the Dominican Summer League Cubs Reds squad.

Jimmy Gonzalez will return as a manager in the Cubs' system but with a new team. He will lead the Rookie League Cubs Red team after managing at Double-A Tennessee in 2019.

The new face for the Cubs is Michael Ryan, who will lead Double-A Tennessee in 2020 after previously working as a manager in the Pirates' system for the last seven seasons.
