LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- While Bears linebacker Roquan Smith has declared he will play against the Raiders in London on Sunday, coach Matt Nagy declined to say whether that will happen.

Listen to your team news NOW.

Smith was a late scratch and missed the Bears' win last Sunday due to personal reasons. Nagy on Thursday reiterated Smith is dealing with a personal issue and again didn't offer details. Asked directly whether he intends for Smith to play, Nagy wouldn't confirm.

"Again, I'm going to leave it at completely personal issue and I'm not going to get into any details on that," Nagy said.

The eighth overall pick in 2018, Smith missed his first career game last Sunday. After being ruled inactive less than two hours before kickoff, Smith was present and engaged on the team's sidelines and has been at Halas Hall this week. He practiced in full Wednesday afternoon.

Smith spoke to reporters before practice Wednesday but declined to offer details on his situation.

"It was just a personal issue so moving forward," Smith said. "I’m past the situation now actually. Just addressing it because I have to. I guess it already happened.

"I will play this week."

Without Nagy's consent, it's uncertain if Smith will indeed be on the field Sunday.

The Bears started Nick Kwiatkoski in Smith's place at inside linebacker. Kwiatkoski posted a team-high nine tackles and had two tackles for a loss, a sack and a forced fumble.

Ahead of their flight to London late Thursday, the Bears are required to reveal the list of players not traveling with the team.
