Bears' Matt Nagy: 'We Don't Have Turds On This Team'

Nagy was pleased with how the Bears handled some hard coaching Sunday.

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. (670 The Score) -- The fanfare had departed from the campus of Olivet Nazarene as the Bears concluded the training camp portion of their preseason behind closed doors.

After months of coach Matt Nagy preaching proper mindset, the Bears capped off training camp with a spirited practice Sunday that included some hard coaching. How did the team handle it?

"When you have high-character people, they can handle that," Nagy said. "If you have a bunch of bad people or turds, they don't. We don't have turds on this team."

The Bears practiced for more than two hours Sunday morning in full pads and embraced contact. However, the work became a bit sloppy at times, drawing the ire of Nagy and his coaching staff.

Monday marks an off day for the Bears, who will practice next at Halas Hall.
