(670 The Score) The Bulls assigned wing Denzel Valentine to the G League on Thursday.

Listen to your team news NOW.

He'll practice with the Windy City Bulls on Thursday and then is scheduled to play for them Friday and Saturday. That means he won't be with the Bulls when they host the Rockets on Saturday.

Valentine's demotion is the latest example of how he has fallen out of the team's plans. He missed the entire 2018-'19 season after undergoing ankle reconstruction surgery, and he struggled this preseason and hasn't been a part of the Bulls' rotation in their first nine games. He has appeared in just one game this season. Valentine was the Bulls' first-round pick in 2016 and will turn 26 on Nov. 16.

Joining Windy City will allow Valentine to get significant game reps for the first time in an extended period.

The Bulls also assigned rookie center Daniel Gafford to Windy City on Thursday. He's scheduled to play for Windy City on Friday but not Saturday.

Windy City plays at the Wisconsin Herd on Friday before hosting Wisconsin on Saturday.
