(670 The Score) Bears general manager Ryan Pace has been named the Executive of the Year by the Sporting News, an award that's voted on by his peers from every team across the NFL.

Pace is the third Bears executive to win the award. Michael McCaskey won it in 1985, and George Halas earned it in 1956.

Pace oversaw the construction of a team that went 12-4 and won the NFC North in 2018. He started the year by making the move that set the tone for the season in his hiring of Matt Nagy, who earned Coach of the Year honors from the Associated Press and the Pro Football Writers of America.

The Bears fell to the Eagles in the wild-card round in their first playoff appearance since the 2010 season.
