(670 The Score) Cubs infielder Javier Baez and outfielder Kyle Schwarber have been chosen to compete in the Home Run Derby as part of the All-Star festivities next week.

Baez and Schwarber lead the Cubs with 17 homers apiece, a number that ranks tied for 10th in the National League. It will be the first time for both competing in the Home Run Derby, which takes place at Nationals Park in Washington D.C. on Monday evening.

"It's on the bucket list," Schwarber told reporters in San Francisco on Tuesday night. "It's one of those things you grow up watching (Ken) Griffey and (Mark) McGwire. Now that I can do it, it's a thing you want to do at least once."

Baez will start for the NL at second base after winning the fan vote. Catcher Willson Contreras and left-hander Jon Lester are the Cubs' other representatives in the game.
